François Demachy, Dior Perfumer-Creator, wanted to accentuate the luminous character of J’adore Eau de Toilette. He thus chose to highlight its contrasts, fine-tune its facets, and renew its freshness while staying true to its floral signature. A desire to fill it with even more light, joy and zest for life.
Joyful top notes explode and captivate, as Essence of Blood Orange awakens the senses and whets the appetite. The sweetness of Magnolia tinged with vanilla and lemon meets the quivering and lively beauty of Damascus Rose. The Esssences unfurl, drawing with them Neroli from Vallauris chosen above all others for its unique accents. As radiant as the white of its petals, as warm as the golden Mediterranean sun. An intense flower that casts its light and lets J’adore shine.
Blood orange is a variety of orange that contains anthocyanin, a pigment common in many types of fruit but rarely found in citrus fruit, that gives the flesh its reddish colour.
A sweet and juicy fruit, particularly popular in Italy, its essence offers fresh, energising notes.
Extraction of the flowers of the bitter orange tree produces orange blossom absolute. Distillation produces neroli essence. Distilled using techniques that were equally traditional and precise, the tradition is perpetuated today throughout a small supply of Essence of Neroli from Vallauris, coveted as much for its quality as its rarity. A key ingredient in oriental fragrances, orange blossom is also used to accentuate certain fruity notes in floral compositions.
Native to Turkey and Bulgaria, the Damascus Rose is used as an essence or an absolute. A key ingredient in the perfumer’s palette, it finds full expression in the heart note of J’adore.
